To this end, I am happy to communicate that Q4 was once again a record-breaking quarter in terms of new customer projects, across new side-streams and geographic markets. During the quarter, Carbiotix added 16 new customer projects, 21 new side-streams, across 7 new countries including in Asia.
The message is definitely getting out and companies both large and small are gravitating towards Carbiotix NutraCycle onsite upcycling service for three main reasons:
- An evolving technology portfolio of in-house and third-party technologies
- A focus on data-driven process optimization and new product development
- Very attractive terms from a risk management, cost, and value perspective

So what is the NutraCycle service and onsite upcycling all about?
In short, it’s about creating healthier more profitable and sustainable products by extracting soluble fibers (prebiotics), proteins, mono-sugars, polyphenols and other nutrients from any hemicellulose plant-based side-stream – right on site! The material that is extracted can then be used to fortify new or existing products or sold off-site for a higher value than simply sending the side-stream to feed, landfill or biogas production. Any insoluble fractions that are left can be used to produce biobased packaging or bioenergy, thus utilizing up to 100% of your incoming raw material. This makes a lot of sense!
